Quarter-leather binding

The spine is made of genuine leather, the covers are made of bookcloth.
Leather takes the strain at the spine, the most active part of the binding, while cloth resists wear on the large surfaces.

A durable, balanced choice for collected works and multi-volume sets. Foil and embossing are pressed in our workshop, exactly as on our full-leather covers.

Covers & boxes for facsimile publishing

A facsimile of a manuscript requires a faithful binding. We produced covers and presentation boxes for the Turkish Manuscripts Institution's facsimile projects.

Leather selection matched to the period, embossing and gilding tuned to the original tooling, and protective boxes built for archival handling. Every element is checked against the source work.

Every edition can ship with its matching slipcase or clamshell traycase: laser-cut MDF structure, hand-covered, velvet or suede interiors, magnetic or hinged lids, personalised nameplates.
